Congratulations to Dr. Ryan Trantham on being named to the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine’s Project FOCUS (Focused Outcomes for Competency in Ultrasound Skills)! This national initiative brings together leaders in family medicine to shape the future of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) education and training.
As part of Project FOCUS, Dr. Trantham will help:
- Develop consensus on core POCUS competencies and curricula for family medicine residency programs
- Create a roadmap for competency-based POCUS assessments
- Advance alignment across the specialty to elevate the role of POCUS in primary care
